Product update: Request payments with our PayPal and Stripe integrations

Simplify billing and reduce no-shows with an integrated payments account.

We are excited to offer two payment integrations on our Pro plan. Now your invitees can submit full or even partial payments securely when they schedule an event with you. Just connect your PayPal or Stripe account by visiting the integrations page on your Calendly account menu to start requesting payment with any event type—whether it’s one-on-one, group, collective or round robin.

Collecting payment during scheduling reduces the billing process to one step. With PayPal, the invitee can choose to log in with their PayPal account or enter their credit card details to complete the payment. With Stripe, the invitee is shown purchase details and asked for their credit card number and expiration date as they confirm their event time. Your selected payment processor (PayPal or Stripe) will email a receipt to your invitee, and payment will be automatically routed to your associated account.

Display the confirmation page in the way that makes the most sense for your business and include your own payment and refund terms. Currently, payments are accepted in US Dollars and language is displayed in English.

    I’ve been waiting for this ability for quite a long time and am disappointed that it didn’t begin with PayPal. I’m not a Stripe user and may be incorrect but believe PayPal has a larger user base. Is Paypal integration in the plans and if so when is it scheduled?

        As of now, an alternative would be to create a secret event (accessible via a code) and charge a different (lower) amount there.

    Is there a capability for Venmo? Many of my customers are on the Dave Ramsey system and prefer to pay cash.

      • Yes please add Venmo!!! All my clients use this. It’s owned by PayPal, so since you’re already working with them it shouldn’t be too hard to integrate!

      • Why are you limiting payment integration to just Pro users? Why not charge other paid plans a flat fee such as $1 per transaction. if you could make a buck off of providing us the convenience of stripe integration – why wouldnt you? I dont need a pro plan — prob wont for foreseeable future…so charge other PAID Plan members a buck per transaction.

      At this time, the PayPal and Stripe integrations support USD only, but we’re looking into other currency options and will keep you posted if we release GBP.

        I upgraded and then realised that GBP isn’t an option. I really liked how Calendly would have fitted into my workflow but it looks like I’ll have to cancel. This question was raised 5 months ago and gets the same copy and paste answer. Such a shame. They don’t want my money.

However, I can say they are not copy and paste and we are hard at work to bring these options to our users. It does take some time as we work to ensure every feature we roll out is perfect and functions exactly as it should!       Currently, you cannot offer the option to pay with both. The event type only accepts the payment type you select in the event type settings. An example can be seen here for PayPal: https://help.calendly.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004975234-PayPal#collect

            it’s now two months later – any news on EUR integration for PayPal? I am waiting for this to switch all my business from vCita to you.

            But you loose out on my business every month – because nothing is happening on the EUR integration…

            What does “very soon” mean? It sounds like the online equivalent of “The next agent is reserved for you. Please hold forever…”

            We completely understand your frustration around not being able to give you a set deadline. It’s challenging for any software company to provide hard dates for delivering features, but we can at least offer some insight into what’s on the horizon. We can assure you that the Product team does have this on their roadmap for development; however, we are unable to provide you with a set timeline as to when these options will be rolled out.

  • Can you connect BOTH Stripe and Paypal at the same time. I currently have Stripe inegration but would like to add Paypal functionality as well…

  • Would love to have this allow for charging their credit card only after the meeting happens. Like they enter their cc info and it charges their card once the meeting is done

    I’m using the Paypal integration, and I’m getting my money without
    incident, but I can’t find the documentation on cancellation versus
    payment retention. If my cancellation policy says 24 hours and a client
    reschedules in that time, the system lets them transfer the funds to
    the new appointment 1:1, yes? But if they cancel too late and don’t
    reschedule, I keep the money?

        upon completion of the release of different currencies, will CAD currency be included at the same time all within the same update or would you expect that it would roll out at different stages and the time horizon, would it be more between 1-3 months, 3-6 months, or 6-8 months? or could it potentially be years?
